FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can multiple pets from the same family board together?
Yes, our luxurious kennels (level 1-3) are best suited for multiple dogs boarding together. However, for bigger dogs such as great danes, great pyrenes, or other large dog breeds, we would not recommend boarding three or more pets that are of similar sizes. Cats may board together as well. Space is limited as there is only one large kennel available for paired cats. Adjustments will be made to ensure that 2 or more cats are placed in a larger kennel.

Multiple pet discounts are applied when pets board together in the same kennel; a 10% discount will apply to each additional pet.
How often does my pet go outside?
All dogs will go outside twice daily. The amount of time each pet has outside is dependent on several factors, including, temperature, rainy weather, and boarding capacity.
will my pet interact with other pets?
No, all pets will remain separate from other pets at all times. Dogs will only interact with other dogs if they are boarding together in the same kennel.
CAN MY pet RECEIVE addditional services while BOARDING?
Yes, boarding cats or dogs may receive additional services while they are boarding. If you would like your pet to receive a bath, nail trim, anal gland expression, etc., please inform the receptionist by phone or at drop off so we may place them on our appointment schedule.
wHEN SHOULD I DROP OFF AND PICK UP MY PET?
Drop off and pick up time is between the following times:
8am-11:30 and 2pm-5:30pm - Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
 8am - 11:30am - Saturday
Dropping off or picking up between 12pm and 2pm is strictly prohibited. Pick up and drop off is also not available on Wednesday or Sunday,
Can i board my guinea pig, rabbit, or ferret?
Yes, small exotics are welcome to board at Lesslie Animal Hospital. Any boarding ferrets, rabbits, or guinea pigs will board in our cat ward.
does someone stay at the clinic 24 hours with my pet?
No, the clinic does operate with 24-hour staffing. However, during non-business hours we have kennel staff that attend to all boarding pets 365 days of the year during select hours on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. If an emergency situation were to occur with a pet, all staff members have immediate access to communications with a veterinarian who will come to the clinic if an issue arises.
