Bishop is a 5 year old neutered male, domestic shorthaired cat that was surrendered to us. He is a very loving cat and loves to cuddle and make biscuits, as well as hanging out with our staff during lunch. He is looking for his furever home and would do well in either a single cat household or a two cat household as he is very submissive.  

1. Trouble Getting Up
If a pet is struggling to get up or often can not get up after taking a tumble, this may be due to arthritis. 

2. Difficulty Climbing Stairs or Jumping On/ Off Furniture
Pets with arthritis may have trouble climbing stairs, jumping onto furniture, or getting into the car. If your pet suddenly starts avoiding these activities, or struggles when performing them, it may be due to joint pain caused by arthritis.

3. Limping or Lameness
One of the most obvious signs of arthritis in pets is limping or favoring one leg. You may notice your dog or cat limping after getting up, walking, or running. In some cases, the limp may come and go depending on the level of pain or stiffness in their joints.

4. Reluctance to MoveIf your pet is reluctant to move or get up from a seated or laying down position, arthritis may be the culprit. This is particularly noticeable when they’ve been resting for a while and have to get moving again.
